The Account Coordinator will provide sales support at the direction of the Account Executives and Producers and is responsible for securing quotes, compiling the necessary data and creating the marketing presentations.

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.


  • Responsible for marketing activities, including but not limited to compiling necessary information to prepare the request for proposal; distributing RFP to identified carriers; Contacting the carrier to insure receipt of request for proposal and communicates any issues that are identified; Insuring that the RFP deadlines are met by the carriers/service vendors; Determining that all information requested from the carriers /vendors has been received and is accurate according to quote requests; Creating spreadsheet with plan details and rate exhibits and reviewing for accuracy; presenting final RFP to Account Managers and Producers within established timeline.
  • Responsible for creation of employer and employee benefit education materials, including but not limited to obtaining up to date benefit summaries, rates, eligibility, & contribution information; building new hire and open enrollment kit materials in partnership with Account Managers; and customizing carrier materials.
  • Follows agency policies and procedures including but not limited to entering plan information via Agency management system, HIPAA compliance, and filing and file maintenance.
  • Advocates on behalf of and represents our clients and their employees with carriers, vendors, and within internal processes including but not limited to benefit inquiries; claims advocacy; billing analysis & reconciliation; submission, installation, & enrollment of all employee benefit plans.
  • Responsible for maintaining strong relationship with carriers and external business partners, including but not limited to having a clear understanding of carrier’s product offerings and processes to maintain efficient workflow and maintaining general product knowledge.
  • Participates in special projects/teams, proactively identifies area to assist team members, assists in workflow review and improvement initiatives, and performs all other activities inside and outside of job scope.


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 2-4 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Life & Health insurance license not required, but a plus to have.
