The Director of IT Procurement and Vendor Management is responsible for evaluating contracts and vendors, making decisions regarding suppliers, while focusing on economic impacts and ROI for best business practices.
Responsible for supporting and leading elements of company-wide (global) procurement strategies that drive identified business strategies & objectives.
Liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors in support of IT services contracts to curtail risks and ensure alignment with corporate, legal, client and business objectives.
Achieve value delivery and provide leadership to assigned projects.
Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to deliver against business objectives.
Define and execute the preparation, negotiation & management of specific agreements, contracts quotes & proposals and resulting vendor relationships.
Provide sourcing solutions, negotiate agreements, and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to optimize return and mitigate risk for the company.
Execute cost reduction strategies, lead sourcing events - RFx (RFI, RFQ, RFP), lead vendor evaluation and selection, support new vendor onboarding.
Engage in sourcing and contracting third party providers and vendors to meet internal and external client needs while adhering to the end-to-end procurement and corporate risk management factors, applicable laws, and regulations.
Identify and deliver savings opportunities to achieve optimum business value aligned with business and corporate strategies; averaged 10% negotiated savings year-over-year.
Responsible for drafting, negotiating, structuring, implementing, managing, and monitoring a broad range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to, sale side and buy side agreements, licensing agreements, master services agreements, statement of work (SOW), RFx responses and supporting documents in line with our policies and procedures.
Manage Delivery Teams. Delivery managers recruit, hire, train, and supervise delivery team members
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
10+ years progressive managerial experience required
Experience in complex IT contracts, deal structuring, negotiations and contracting
Extensive experience managing medium to large-scale ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing) and BPO (business process outsourcing) deals - specifically ADM (Application Development & Maintenance) and operations outsourcing, preferable for large Financial Institutions or, in a Service Delivery or sourcing capacity
Extensive experience with various sourcing options such as T&M/Fixed Price, on-site, off-site, offshore and package implementation; as well as SLA development
IT Budget management
Strong relationship management (domestic & international marketplace) and contractual management, negotiations, and supplier management
Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in contracting and sourcing client facing software and IT professional resources
