Overview

The Director of IT Transformation directs and coordinates the foundation of the organization’s digital transformation strategy. This involves changes to and modernization of network architecture, hardware, software, service management and how data is stored and accessed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to drive change and innovation
  • Coordinate a close relationship between Finance, IT and Data Analytics
  • Coordinate the IT design, selection, development, implementation, and administration of the organization's financial systems, platforms and supporting applications
  • Transition from legacy finance operation processes to target technology model platforms and processes
  • IT project implementation experience using Waterfall and Agile PMO processes
  • Support design of the Finance future state vision, identification of initiatives and development of roadmaps
  • Establish business process framework, perform assessments, and implement scalable solutions leveraging automation
  • Lead technology automation enablement of target operating model by continually evaluating chosen ERP capabilities and niche bolt on solutions that will drive efficiencies and result in a best-in-class finance operation
  • Continually deep dive on finance shared services operation across areas including Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Accounting, Payroll, FP&A, Analytics and Treasury to identify automation and enhancement opportunities that drive efficiencies
  • Provide oversight to operational risk and controls for Finance Transformation initiatives
  • Identify opportunities by mapping current state processes and designing the target automated operating model for in scope finance functions
  • Identify, plan for and develop strategies to support process and technology innovation to achieve cost savings and process optimization across the organization
  • Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across businesses, products, functions and locations
  • Manage Finance transformation budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Business Administration required
  • CPA preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant Finance and/or Accounting experience required, 10+ years progressive managerial experience required
  • Experience in automation enablement, organizational change and shared services
  • Experience in process mapping, opportunity identification and target solution development
  • Ability to manage large scale transformation projects and initiatives specifically in areas of automation enablement in finance and shared services set up and design
  • Experience working with process improvement, process redesign, issue resolution and knowledge migration
  • Solid IT project management and implementation experience
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with transformation management and organizational change
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies and finance and accounting concepts and practices
  • Good leadership skills to train, guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • An entrepreneurial and creative individual who has an approach to developing new, innovative ideas
  • Experience working with company methodologies and process frameworks
  • Team oriented and collaborative with eagerness to be challenged and learn
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can operate independently and develop relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees and management
