Summary:

The Account Executive will work in collaboration with the Producer and the service team and is responsible for the strategic management of client’s employee benefit plans and objectives. The Account Executive is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with other internal and external business partners and carriers.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic management of assigned book of business in conjunction with Producer to understand the client’s business and assist in developing Employee Benefit programs and initiatives that support the client’s goals and objectives.
  • Retain existing client base.
  • Delivers enrollment, benchmarking, financial and utilization data based on financial review standards and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and ensures a smooth transition process for new customers.
  • Identifies opportunities for adding other lines of coverage or services for additional organic sales growth.
  • Educates clients concerning the regulatory environment and assists clients with compliance issues as necessary.
  • Executes customer specific initiatives which deliver unique value through the execution of client specific business plans, service timelines, and corporate communication.
  • Coordinates monthly with carriers to obtain renewals, handles the renewal process, including marketing activities, understanding underwriting and renewal development, and negotiating on behalf of client.
  • Delivers renewals electronically with clients and with owning agents when appropriate.
  • Follows agency policies and procedures including reviewing client contracts, maintaining client files, HIPAA compliance, and agency audits among others.
  • Ensures accuracy of all Agency management system information for marketing, benchmarking and other purposes.
  • Data entry of new sold groups into the carrier systems, requesting new business quotes using carrier systems and providing alternate quotes for renewal groups.
  • Updates on-going activity and attachments in Agency management system.
  • Support client and agent needs and be the subject matter expert for health, life, dental and other specialty products.
  • Respond to all quote requests within 48 hours, reviewing sold cases within three days of receipt and returning phones calls within 24 hours of receipt
  • Remain abreast of the health insurance environment and constantly changing insurance legislation and carrier plan offerings
  • Respond to routine and non-routine correspondence.
  • Work independently and within the team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • College Degree (perferred)
  • 2 yrs Employee Benefit experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
