The Commercial Lines P&C Producer has a passion for selling, a deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and a proven track record of sales success. They use these skills to aggressively solicit and sell insurance products and services to new and existing clients; maintain and expand an existing book of business; and enhance the public image of the Agency by proactively and professionally performing these duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Commercial P&C Producer is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting and selling new accounts as well as maintain a current book of business
  • Contacts and qualifies prospective clients and explains features and merits of policies offered, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.
  • Creates insurance proposals, makes sales presentations to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business.
  • Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policies, to suggest additions or changes in insurance program. Designs insurance and risk management plans for clients.
  • Helps policyholders through the claims process in the event of a loss.
  • Anticipates future needs and calls on established clients to renew and upgrade accounts.
  • Develops long-term relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters.
  • Develops a thorough and accurate understanding of the clients' and carriers' business needs.
  • Works with Sales Leader to develop and achieve sales goals

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Full understanding of insurance markets and coverages, the underwriting process and rating procedures.
  • Must be a self-starter, imaginative, and creative with good communications skills and strong sales skills.
  • Must be competitive, persistent, and self-reliant, with high energy and sales drive.
  • Must be able to cold-call prospects, influence others and close the sale.
  • Must be willing to travel.                                           
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must hold appropriate and valid insurance licenses.
