The Account Manager is responsible for providing sales support at the direction of the Account Executive. The Account Manager provides customer service by handling the day to day operations of clients' insurance needs. The Account Manager will work with the Producer, Senior Account Executive, and Account Executive to design proper insurance and risk management services for clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides service to assigned accounts by responding to client and underwriter inquiries.
  • Processes client transactions on the computer system
  • Checks policy coverages and rating on policies and endorsements for accuracy and relevance.
  • Obtains quotations for new business, renewals and endorsements, with direction of Account Executive.
  • Assist the Account Executives in researching coverage issues.
  • Assists the Account Coordinator in processing.
  • Performs other specific duties as assigned.
  • Obtains and maintains appropriate insurance agent's licenses.
  • Pursues a program of personal and professional development as approved.


Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • High school education, insurance classes, plus 2 or more years of related experience in an insurance company or agency, or equivalent training and/or experience. Some college level course of stufy helpful.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations including ability to rate Property & Casualty insurance policies.
  • Ability to understand and analyze Property & Casualty insurance coverages, forms, and policies.
  • Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment.
  • Ability to process and service revenue of $300,000 plus.
