This position is responsible for assisting the Group Benefits department with existing group policies service issues. This department will handle inbound phone calls and emails from both employers and brokers. Individual's in this role will work closely with carriers to process group hires, terminations and serve as a liaison to all AgentLink customers in addressing plan policy questions or needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up to date on the carrier systems to know where to go to research or pull info available such as ID cards, Benefit Summaries, and bills
  • Assisting Brokers/Employers with service needs such as billing and claim issues with our various carriers
  • Support client and agent needs and be the subject matter expert for health, life, dental and other specialty products.
  • Processing forms within 48 hours of receipt and returning phones calls within 24 hours
  • Remain abreast of the health insurance environment and constantly changing insurance legislation and carrier plan offerings
  • Respond to routine and non-routine correspondence.
  • Work independently and within the team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Have a current health and life insurance license for the State of Kentucky or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Tracking all new hire enrollments/terminations with carriers to make sure they are Functions received and processed in a timely manner


Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong PC skills with the aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Knowledge of health, life and disability plans preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting or finance preferred.
