Overview

Summary:

The AP University Administrative Assistant works with the Director of Professional Development, the National Sales Leader, Regional Sales Leaders and Local Sales Leaders to develop online instructional content including, but not limited to, business processes, system workflows, standard operating procedures, and digital learning content. The role also participates in the procurement, execution and organization of industry related educational content.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Development, maintenance and implementation of digital content supporting the AssuredPartners University (APU), including but not limited to SOPs, system instructions, intranet site pages.
  • Maintenance and implementation of digital coursework (e.g. simulations, eLearning courses and videos) to support training.
  • Assist with process documentation and identify areas for improvement in business processes and system workflows.
  • Ability to facilitate business process and system workflow sessions with the ability to translate and convert complex processes and workflows into simple, step-by-step instructions. Ability to break down complex content into consumable sections.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge in the area of Reports, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.   
  • Ability to effectively speak in front of groups in person and via conference call/web ex and lead the flow. 
  • Ability to think on the fly and know best business practices or able to keep a meeting moving and research unanswered questions later.
  • Willing to grow in a position and be eager to be malleable with the various needs and intricacies that may come up with each specific office.
  • APU administrative items, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Able to take direction and execute requests quickly and efficiently
  • Computer savy, detail oriented, extraordinary organizational skills
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Insurance experience a plus; but not required
  • Litmos or other learning management experience a plus; but not required

Travel Requirements:                                               

Travel may be required to support APU where necessary but should be minimal. Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
