The Graphic Designer takes a lead role in planning artwork incorporating design, photography, illustration, and text for use in publications, exhibits, presentations, marketing materials, etc in the Marketing & Communication Department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Creates original artwork incorporating design, photography, illustration, and text in draft form for approval. Interprets and general and specific ideas of customer into artwork.
  • Work collaboratively across marketing department to conceptualize new and revise existing print and multi-media materials while maintaining all deadlines.
  • Showcase a high level of creativity, good judgment, and problem-solving skills, within fast timelines.
  • Knowledge of design trends and best practices.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to create collateral, promotional and advertising pieces for all web, social media platforms, and print use.
  • Ability to take initiative, work with a sense of urgency and set priorities.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn from others and your ability to quickly pivot as opportunities or needs arise.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Expertise in creating big ideas and innovative thinking.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Follow creative direction to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
  • Participates in critiques and engages project stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage workload priorities while working on multiple projects.
  • Able to work as a part of our in-house collaborative marketing team.
  • Responsible for seeing all assigned projects through to completion from concept and design to production.
  • Manage digital assets through file organization.


Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • Post-Secondary education degree or a minimum of two to five years of experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong visualization skills and fast and efficient production is highly preferred.
