Summary:

Assists Claims Department with processing claims.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Submits loss notices to insurance carrier
  • Requests loss runs from insurance carriers, inputs them into data management system and notifies proper teams
  • Get periodic updates from adjusters to assist with processing claims
  • Data entry into company databases and maintains Accurate and Complete Data/Records
  • Ongoingly maintains and updates the claim list
  • Follows up on claims to completion
  • Documents all activities and telephone conversations in systems
  • Creates Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations or other Microsoft Office files as directed
  • Types correspondence, files records, and performs other clerical tasks as directed
  • Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Knowledge of insurance markets preferred.                                         
  • Prior experience in claims or insurance preferred.                                            
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 year related experience or general office experience. Post-secondary degree preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Property & Casualty license within 6 month of employment
