Summary:

The Financial Services Senior Account Representative is responsible for managing a book of qualified retirement plans and managing the day to day operations that arise with clients, sponsors and vendors. This position provides a high level of support at direction of the Account Executive and Agency President along with direct customer service to clients. Duties include working with our team to design proper retirement and investment services for clients along with customer service in coordination with other agency personnel. The Senior Account Representative has product knowledge and is familiar with products offered by carriers. The Senior Account Representative assists in production and managing on-going requests for plan amendments, plan sponsor inquiries, directing meetings with clients, servicing needs and processing requests.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of qualified retirement plans.

  • Manage day to day plan operations as they arise.

  • Support plan sponsors, interact with vendors, and assist in preparing investment reviews.

  • Attend/conduct plan committee meetings and participant education.

  • Assist with proposal development, fee benchmarking analysis

  • Obtain all necessary information, determine feasibility of requests, and submits requests to individual specialists for action.

  • Respond to plan sponsors’ requests for information on a variety of issues, including on-going requests for plan amendments. Interface with management and internal support groups in order to research issues and coordinate responses to plan sponsors. This includes conducting trend analysis of issues, response times, and other valuable statistics.

  • Develop and recommend improvements to workflows and procedures in order to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.

  • Promote customer satisfaction through proactive and effective service delivery and ensure prompt and effective response to all plan sponsor inquiries.

  • Review plan documents, understand retirement plan provisions and accurately apply to client and participant circumstances, including distributions, loans and vesting

  • Work and communicate with Sponsors and Participants in processing requests

  • Participates in direct meetings with clients where needed.

  • Meets directly with clients in conjunction with other team members.

     

  • Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with clients and assists agency in developing carrier relationships.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.                                           
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and more than four years related Account Manager experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
