The primary responsibility of an Account Manager is to provide prompt, accurate, courteous and professional services to insureds, prospects and other members of the general public, sales representatives, fellow employees and insurance companies. To work directly with clients and maintain a book of business as directed by management. This position should exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
This position as no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Most work is done independently, without close supervision.
PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING
Work requires self-determination with some pre-set procedures, problems of above average in complexity
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE
Requires a high school equivalency, plus maintenance of a P&C license.
Requires three to five years’ experience in a similar role.
Requires frequent verbal communication with other departments and/or routine communication with others, but primary responsibility rests with the supervisor. Written communication, typically emails, reports, memos, and forms required to average to above average extent.
Has occasional responsibility to access confidential information, such as legal documents, business or financial data, damage exposure to company is minor.
Job demands are frequently caused by the need for quick decisions on a diversity of problems.
CREATIVITY AND FORESIGHT
An average level of alertness and creativity is required in this job to maximize customer service and maintain quality goals.
Requires advanced proficiency all of the above, plus basic skill level in graphics and/or database software.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Job requires frequent contacts with other departments and routine contacts with customers and/or vendors. Requires tact and courtesy in these contacts, but primary responsibility rests with the supervisor.
Job requires sustained physical effort; continuity of effort working with office equipment or the computer. May require broader movements, in a slow cycle.
Some sales, such as round outs and referrals through every day servicing, is expected within this position.
