    Reports to: VP of Operations

    FLSA Status: Exempt

     

    Summary The Commercial Lines Account Executive position is available for the person looking to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment for the region’s fastest growing insurance broker.  Candidate should be self-motivated and an independent thinker willing to work in a team environment.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Managing renewal book of business to ensure timely processing of renewals, working directly with Senior executives and producers on an account by account basis determining marketing strategy when necessary
    • Serving as first point of contact with insureds managing all requests, including: endorsements of coverage, certificates of insurance, reviewing coverages, billing questions, submitting claims, etc.  
    • Works as strategic liaison between clients and carrier underwriters in all areas where necessary. 
    • Assisting Senior Executives and Producers with new business submissions
    • Coordinating with marketing personnel in on-boarding new clients
    • Maintains constant informational accuracy of agency management system
    • Proficiency in AMS 360 a strong plus

    Education and/or Experience                                                  

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred; and a minimum of three years of insurance customer service experience.

     

    Language Skills                                               

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                                    

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

     

    Reasoning Ability                                            

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Computer Skills                                              

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of agency management system; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Appropriate insurance license(s) - Property & Casualty.
