    Summary The Payroll Representative is responsible for processing payroll for all employees, managing reporting associated with payroll and maintaining compensation records and arrangements.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    Processes monthly and semi-monthly payroll. Maintains payroll files.


    Prepares and enters all benefit, payroll and 401k journal entries.


    Reconciles 941s quarterly and annually.


    Prepares and processes all quarterly and year-end reporting including local income taxes, W2s and individual state requirements.


    Understands all compensation arrangements. Maintains all producer contracts. Follows up on all compensation transitions in a timely manner.


    Works with the Human Resources Department to assure the accuracy of payroll.


    Performs accounting functions as directed, including, but not limited to, preparing bank reconciliations, direct bill input and reconciliation, and preparing monthly Producer summaries.

    Education and/or Experience                                                  

    Degree in accounting from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Skills                                               

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


    Mathematical Skills                                                    

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


    Reasoning Ability                                            

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong attention to detail.


    Computer Skills                                              

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; and Microsoft Office.
