    AssuredPartners is hiring for an experienced Legal Assistant to work with an active in-house M&A legal team.

    Responsibilities include providing administrative and project management support in connection with the in-house mergers and acquisitions legal process of AssuredPartners, including:

    • Coordinating lien searches and other basic due diligence
    • Organization and filing of digital document files in a contract management database
    • Preparation of basic form documents from existing templates
    • Assisting with closing process
    • Tracking and follow-up of post-closing documents and issues
    • Coordinating trademark filings and domain name registrations
    • Preparing and maintaining summary and tracking reports
    • Maintaining and updating calendars
    • Coordinating phone conferences
    • Preparing expense reports
    • Organizing team events
    • Compiling and proofreading reports and documents
    • Preparing presentations
    • Copying and scanning
    • Processing and tracking legal invoices and deal status
    • Preparing and sending correspondence
    • Preparing redlines
    • Coordinating execution of legal documents
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Role Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Legal transactional experience strongly preferred
    • Typing 75+ WPM
    • Strong computer skills, expert with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook (must be able to analyze data, prepare reports and presentations and master other apps); 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and anticipates and addresses issues
    • Positive “Can-do” attitude
    • Quick study and able grasp ideas/concepts and information quickly
    • Absolute discretion/confidentiality
    • Flexible in work responsibilities and hours
    • Outstanding organizational, follow-up and tracking skills
    • Must have high-quality, accurate work product within deadlines
    • High degree of diplomacy
