    The Benefits Specialist is responsible for overseeing the open enrollment of assigned clients by providing support to designated contacts of assigned clients (employers) and performing benefits administration tasks for these clients.  The Benefits Specialist is also responsible for the collection, analysis and processing of client data preparation and other client-related reports. 


    1. Perform administrative tasks related to all types of employee benefit programs for assigned clients, including group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and retirement accounts.
    2. Lead or assist in leading open enrollment activities for assigned GSA clients. These activities include project planning, communications, GSA system updates, and processing enrollment changes.
    3. Communicate benefits information to all GSA clients’ employees, including in-person benefits meetings, webinars, and one-on-one employee support.
    4. Resolve employee issues through customer service, including resolution of issues escalated by Customer Service Representatives.
    5. Work with benefit plan providers (carriers) in plan administration and problem resolution.
    6. Process employee demographic changes in GSA systems, including new hires, status changes, qualifying events, and terminations.
    7. Process employee enrollment changes with benefit plan provider (carrier) systems, through both electronic enrollment files and carrier web portals.
    8. Manage client business process and identify areas for continued improvement, making recommendations to update processes, as required.
    9. Perform carrier billing reconciliations (carrier bill versus benefits system).


    1. Perferred Licence in Life, Accident & Sickness.
    2. Excel – Intermediate Level required.
    3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and read English clearly and professionally.
    4. Travel required.
