Summary: Assists Claims Department with processing claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Submits loss notices to insurance carrier
Follows up on claims to conclusion
Documents all activity and telephone conversations in systems

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 year related experience or general office experience. Post-secondary degree preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; use whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Agency management software, Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Property & Casualty license within 6 month of employment
Other Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of insurance markets preferred.
Other Qualifications
Prior experience in claims or insurance preferred.
