Summary Assists client employees with enrollment and benefit questions and assist clients with any enrollment / termination questions and issues
Essential Duties and Responsibilities . Other duties may be assigned.
Process Open Enrollment changes, client new hire enrollments, client terminations, COBRA and reporting regarding health and welfare benefit plans including, but not limited to: medical, dental, life, disability, and supplemental programs.
Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
Answers telephone calls from client employees regarding employee benefits.
Responds to requests for information.
Assists client employees with benefits enrollment process.
Inputs data into carrier and client management system including.
Monthly invoice auditing
Excel knowledge preferred
Run reporting for payroll and auditing
Verify all enrollments have been received for each employee at the client site. Update benefit carriers and internal database with enrollment changes and scan all enrollments to clients’ enrollment file.
Review enrollment forms to ensure all necessary information is complete. Identify and enroll new hire per the client’s new hire waiting period. Process employee information with the benefit carriers and in the internal database.
Review termination documentation to ensure all necessary information is complete. Process termination with the benefit carriers and in the internal database. Identify if the employee meets the COBRA eligibility requirements and process with the COBRA vendor, if necessary.
Assist Account Managers and Plan Analysts when necessary
Audit all carrier invoices to ensure that changes are correctly processed

Education and/or Experience
Post-secondary degree and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Agency management systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
