    The AVP of Keenan Pharmacy Services (KPS) will have a role in the management and client service related to all Keenan pharmacy products. Candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients and marketing partners. Candidate will actively participate in internal and external meetings, assist the VP with client management and develop a clear understanding of client needs, goals and objectives.

    Responsibilities

     

    The AVP of Keenan Pharmacy Services (KPS) will have a role in the management and client service related to all Keenan pharmacy products. Candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients and marketing partners. Candidate will actively participate in internal and external meetings, assist the VP with client management and develop a clear understanding of client needs, goals and objectives. The AVP will be expected to learn the technical details related to all Keenan pharmacy products and be able to present and promote the value of our products and services to internal and external stakeholders, clients, and prospects.

     

    The AVP will provide direct support to the VP and SVP of Keenan Pharmacy Services. As such, the position requires a high level of professionalism in dealing with internal and external clients. The successful candidate will be able to rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and will also be able to lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Maintain thorough knowledge of Keenan’s pharmacy benefit programs and services • Clearly communicate and promote the value of our programs and services to clients, prospects, internal sales and account management teams, as well as marketing partners • Management-level client support on all pharmacy benefit programs • Develop and maintain successful relationships with new and existing marketing partners • Assist with the development, roll out and ongoing management of new programs and services • Management support and guidance for KPS account management team • Special projects as needed • Maintain positive attitude and flexible hours • All other duties as assigned

     

    MINIMUM SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS:

    A minimum of 5 years employee benefits experience with emphasis in Pharmacy Benefit Management. Candidate must have a significant understanding of other group benefit insurance programs - medical, dental, vision, life and disability. Experience working with healthcare organizations and public sector employers preferred. Candidate must be a self-starter, detail oriented, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written). Must be effective and comfortable with speaking and presenting in group settings. The ideal candidate will be able to organize and manage multiple priorities with acute attention to detail; build relationships and create a professional bond with internal and external customers; and excel in a fast-paced, demanding and unstructured environment. Bachelor of Arts or equivalent combination of related experience.

     

    SOFTWARE: Very proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required. Familiarity with PC, Printers and computerized voice & email systems.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use manual dexterity, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and speak or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, stand and sit. Position requires employee to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.

     

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normally not exposed to conditions that are discomforting or disagreeable.
