    Job Title: Accounting Clerk

    Department: Finance

    Reports to: Controller

    FLSA Status: Non-exempt



    This position will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail.  This role will utilize accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned. 

    • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Prepare and post daily bank deposits.
    • Record statements into production system.
    • Provide financial status information by preparing special reports and projects.
    • Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material and update as necessary.
    • Uphold accounting controls by following policies and procedures, and complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
    • Update customer records with account information in database when applicable.
    • Protect company by keeping information confidential.
    • Contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
    • Represent AP Benefit Advisors in a positive and professional fashion with both internal and external customers.
    • Contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects.
    • Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
    • Strong PC skills with the aptitude to learn new systems.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Familiarity with Quick Books Enterprise Solutions software preferred, but not required.
