    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Supports Account Executive and Producer to cultivate a solid relationship with the client and provide a primary point of contact when Account Executive and/or Producer are unavailable.
    • Manages day-to-day service for clients including claims, billing, eligibility, and service issues. Properly sets expectations for issue resolution, monitors progress and communicates outcomes. Updates agency management system in a timely manner with updates to on-going activity.
    • Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated issues where policy interpretation and experience based resolutions are required.
    • Participates in implementation and renewal activities for new and existing clients under direction of Account Executive, to include open enrollment, new coverage placement and application processing.
    • Inputs and updates new and existing client information within the Company’s agency management system.  Audits client's information for accuracy.
    • Collects forms/data/schedules for regulatory compliance.  
    • Follows agency policies and procedures including but not limited to client files, HIPAA compliance, and delinquent premium notices.
    • Participates in special projects/teams. Identifies areas to assist team members. Assists in workflow review and improvement initiatives.

    Education and/or Experience:

    College degree or experience equivalent.  Prior experience in the Employee Benefits insurance industry and/or prior work experience in the human resources field is preferred.


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    Current Louisiana Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain this license within three (3) months of date of hire.


    Language Skills:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as insurance policies, Agency policies and procedures, and safety rules. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 


    Mathematical Skills:            

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.


    Reasoning Ability:    

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


    Computer Skills:         

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of agency management software; Internet software; spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, word processing software and Microsoft Outlook.  Prior experience in BenefitPoint agency management system is preferred.
