    Summary: The Senior Payroll Lead is responsible for leading the Corporate Payroll Leads in the preparation and reporting processes related to payroll.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Lead the day-to day operations of the payroll team ensuring payroll processes are running effectively and accurately.

     

    Provide support to internal Corporate Payroll Leads on payroll processes.

     

    Review, interpret and maintain garnishments, levies and child support orders in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.

     

    Maintain related records and reports and prepare ad hoc reports for management; in response to audit and in support of day to day requests.

     

    Prepare quarterly reporting for WA & OH Worker’s Compensation

     

    Handle tax registrations, setups, tax issues and ensures accurate quarterly and annual tax filings.

     

    Prepare monthly Payroll Clearing reconciliation for Corporate Payroll Manager’s review.

     

    Aid with current, ongoing and future Payroll/HR projects.

    Education and/or Experience                                                  

    Degree in accounting from college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Language Skills                                               

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                                    

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability                                            

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong attention to detail.

     

    Computer Skills                                              

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; and Microsoft Office.
