Summary Provides clerical assistance to the Human Resources Department. Compiles and maintains personnel records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason. Processes employment applications, new employee paperwork, and assists in other employment activities. Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses. Processes payroll change forms.
Plans, prepares, and executes required activities for new employee orientations.
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
Utilizes HRIS system for record keeping. Manages paid time off process under the supervision of the HR Generalist.

Education and/or Experience
Post-Secondary education degree or a minimum of two years of experience or a combination of eduction and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
