    Summary 
    AssuredPartners is searching for a legal assistant to join its legal team.  The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be providing administrative and project management support in connection with the in-house mergers and acquisitions legal process of AssuredPartners.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinating lien searches and conducting other basic due diligence;
    • Preparing and organizing digital document files;
    • Preparing basic form documents;
    • Assisting with transactions closing process;
    • Tracking and follow-up of post-closing documents and issues;
    • Coordinating trademark filings and domain name registrations;
    • Preparing and maintaining summary and tracking reports;
    • Various administrative tasks, including maintaining and updating calendars, coordinating phone conferences, preparing expense reports, copying and scanning, processing and tracking legal invoices, preparing and sending correspondence, taking minutes/notes, and coordinating execution of legal documents.

    Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of experience supporting a law firm partner or senior in-house attorney;
    • Legal transactional experience strongly preferred;
    • Typing 75+ WPM;
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience;
    • Strong computer skills, expert with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook (must be able to analyze data, prepare reports and presentations and master other apps);
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and anticipates and addresses issues;
    • Positive “Can-do” attitude;
    • Quick study and able grasp ideas/concepts and information quickly;
    • Absolute discretion/confidentiality;
    • Flexible in work responsibilities and hours;
    • Outstanding organizational, follow-up and tracking skills;
    • Must have high-quality, accurate work product within deadlines; and
    • High degree of diplomacy.
