    Job Title: Employee Benefits Administrative Assistant

    Department: Employee Benefits

    Reports To: Employee Benefits Vice President

    Summary The Administrative Assistant supports the Account Managers, Account Executives and Vice President in the placement and service of employee benefits with the efficient delivery of products, services and analysis in accordance with the clients’ benefits strategy.


    Essential Duties

    Scans documents and save to S:Drive. Copies documents.


    Proofread documents checking for proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure


    Prepares, formats and binds presentations


    Processes and updates employee applications online or manually


    Checks spreadsheets for Account Managers and Account Executives


    Updates Monday morning sales report in time for each meeting


    Attend Carrier update meetings. Place the conference call. Set up a V-card for each Carrier rep and send to all of Dawson. Ensure electronic copies of the meeting materials are saved to S:\1Carrier Stuff to be accessed at any time.


    Run quotes as needed (e.g. Anthem or UHC)


    Maintain filing on a weekly basis

    Education and/or Experience                                               

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of underwriting and insurance coverages is highly desired.
