Job Title: Regional Director of Payroll

Summary Responsible for all functions related to payroll including processing semi-monthly and monthly payroll disbursements, reconciling all payroll related general ledger accounts, completing special projects for the Chief Financial Officer, assisting in the budget process and performing certain accounting related functions by performing the following duties.
Manages all aspects of the payroll side of the automated PR/HR system for generating payroll, reports, identifying discrepancies, and other related information. Records new or changed pay rates and analyzes changes and deductions to payroll in computer files. Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy. Reviews and approves payroll deductions. Reconciles all payroll general ledger accounts. Reconciles Payroll Bank Account prior to end of month.
Provides guidance to Human Resources with respect to payroll and benefits. Works closely with Human Resources to ensure that benefits deductions are made accurately and that payment to vendors are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Reconciles invoice to employee payroll withholdings to ensure accuracy. Reconciles 401k accounts with vendor and provides necessary reports to ensure accuracy. Reconciles ACH withdrawals with FSA vendor.
Works with payroll system vendor to ensure accuracy of system. Serves as payroll system administrator and is responsible for all maintenance and upgrades.
Compiles and prepares other payroll data such as 401k, insurance, and bank payments. Maintains headcount reports, bonus accrual worksheets, and abatement reports.
Monitors and maintains commissioned employees' agreements. Maintains Producer Salary spreadsheet. Reconciles Producer reports for discrepancies and problems. Adjusts commissions as needed. Maintains records of Producer Payable and employee receivable accounts. Sends out monthly 205 reports. Sends inter-company receivable monthly statement and researches inquiries.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
