The Commercial Lines Assistant supports the Producer and/or Account Manager in the day to day servicing of client accounts. They will communicate regularly with Account Manager regarding client issues and needs, work timelines, status of work, seeking direction and understanding.


  • Ordering Loss Runs, Experience Mods, updating renewal information/schedules/payroll, etc.
  • Maintaining Accurate and Complete Data/Records
  • Processing change requests and checking endorsements
  • Initial Policy Checking
  • Issuing simple Certificates of Insurance
  • Tracking Cancellations & Updating Endorsement in Agency Management System
  • Preparing Insurance Policy Books
  • Premium Invoicing
  • Participating in departmental meetings as required
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty renewal and sales process and file management.
  • Preparation as directed of any necessary client renewal and new quote submissions, and client binders.

Education and/or Experience                                            

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years office experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. No insurance experience required but preferred; willing to train the right candidate.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Having a current valid Property & Casualty Insurance license is not required, but is preferred.
