Job Title: Jr. Healthcare Data Analyst

Department: Data Analytics

Reports To: Director, Data Analytics

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary: This position is responsible for the assistance in designing risk management strategies and producing measurable outcomes for clients and prospects using data and technology.


  • Analyze benefits plan data to identify population risk, financial trends, and utilization trends.
  • Develop risk strategies through value-based plan design, contribution, and benefit initiatives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts through predictive modeling tools.
  • Develop new technologies and processes to measure risk and quantify outcomes.
  • Enhance plan communications platform by leveraging technology.
  • Support sales and prospecting efforts in the Large Group Practice.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with administrators and insurance carriers.
  • Present plan performance reports to clients on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist in evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive options; analyzing and relaying customer experience.
  • Travel for client/prospect meetings and incorporate time in the office for planning, preparation, and training
  • Provide team and client with appropriate timelines to ensure that expectations and turnaround times are met.
  • Contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other team members as assigned.
  • Complete and submit all required reports based on assigned deadlines.
  • Represent Crawford Advisors in a positive and professional fashion with both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient utilization of data analytics tools preferred (e.g., Navigator MD, Verscend, Windsor Strategy Solutions)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and demonstrated ability to learn new software systems
  • Advanced Knowledge of Self-Funding preferred, but not required
