Job Title: Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Department: Accounting

Summary: Assists and provides backup accounting support with direct bill production and general administrative functions within the accounting department. Primarily responsible for (1) posting direct bill production and (2) assisting team members with various administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

 

Researches and resolves billing discrepancies with internal customer service representatives or contacts at the insurance company.

 

Data entry of direct bill production into accounting system according to company procedures.

 

Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, and routes invoices to the appropriate individual for review and approval and processing. Assists with the filing of accounting support documentation in a timely manner.  

 

Assists with month end close.

 

Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

Education and/or Experience                                               

One year related experience and/or training.
