Job Title: Accounting Assistant (Part-Time)

Department: Accounting

Reports To:  COO

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

 

Summary: 

This position will work independently and with the Finance team to assist with recording transactions, audit assistance, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, office administration, database and software management, and other tasks as they arise.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices and other documents.
  • Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material and update as necessary.
  • Uphold accounting controls by following policies and procedures, and complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Update customer records with account information in database when applicable.
  • Represent Crawford in a positive and professional fashion with both internal and external customers.
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential information with honesty and integrity
  • Contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects.
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                                               

  • One year related experience and/or training.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or degree in progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new accounting software systems.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Familiarity with Quick Books Enterprise Solutions software preferred, but not required.
