The Administrative Assistant- Risk Control will work closely with the Safety Director and other members of the risk management team to assist with customer/prospect analysis, claims management, safety training material review and development, administrative tasks.  The Safety/Loss Control Division will interface with customers on a regular basis and partner with the safety, HR or executives of the company to ensure that they are following safety guidelines and thinking of possible options that would enhance their operations; the end product of this partnership is intended to add value to the client, enabling the client to be competitive in their own industry.

Specific Duties:

  • Coordinate MSEA meetings and training seminars. Including securing venues, marketing with MailChimp, registrations receipt, registration confirmation and refreshments for meetings.
  • Coordinate all seminar training and tracking to include website updates.
  • Maintain Safeland Training spreadsheets, coordination of training events and communication with our Safeland trainers.
  • Learn and become proficient with ISNetworld in order to assist Sisk & Co. customers with insurance certificates.
  • Will be a call center for inviting customers/prospects to seminars and training events which includes getting Safety Director involved with communicating with key contacts for top customers/prospects.
  • Generate and track meeting summary notes for Safety Director.
  • Track and maintain training requirements for Mountain States Energy Alliance members.
  • Provide ideas and information for the Quarterly Newsletters, Lessons Learned and other marketing materials that come out of the communications department.
  • Coordinate support to clients so they achieve Colorado Cost Containment Certification and other relevant discount programs based on the states that clients operate.
  • Assist in up-dating, reviewing and re-formatting current Petrodocs written safety and health programs.
  • Update and assist with development of training materials to eventually add to current resources available on Petrodocs.
  • Assist with developing and reformatting safety training ppts as well as other training support materials.


Other Support Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support in making on-site service calls to respond to client service requests, deliver training and work with the insurance companies that underwrite the risks.
  • Support in identifying Risk Management department and evaluating exposures, hazards, and controls related to workers' compensation and property / liability risks.
  • Assist with customer responses to insurance risk control recommendations.
  • Support in developing and documenting training directed toward controlling losses or improving claim case management for all levels of management employees of business clients and large groups or associations.
  • Write risk management reports with recommended corrections to physical conditions and program weaknesses to help improve regulatory compliance and loss prevention.
  • Work with insurance company claims representatives to follow claims, as well as with the insured to help them utilize recognized practices to reduce the cost of claims.
  • Must be able to consistently meet client and producer expectations. Must be able to clearly write and verbally communicate in a concise and timely manner.




  • Demonstrating self-motivation and self-awareness in a professional setting is crucial to success in this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required, with an emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of IOS based systems is a plus.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and initiate projects to meet outlined goals and objectives is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and marketing skills required.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills required.
  • Human relations skills, persuasion skills, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
