Job Title: Commercial Lines Marketing Assistant

Department: Commercial Lines

Reports To: Commercial Lines Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Analysts, Account Managers, and Producers with the marketing and binding of new and renewal business. Responsibilities include information gathering, completion of applications, marketing, online rating, and proposals shell creation

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Assists the marketing analysts with contacting current and prospective clients to obtain information needed to complete applications and market account.

 

Completes supplemental applications and accord applications as needed.

 

Follows up for outstanding quotes from carriers/brokers.

 

Downloads quotes and policies from carrier websites and attaches copies to EPIC.

 

Rates lines of coverage as needed on carrier/broker websites.

 

Creates proposal shells and enters quote information onto proposals to assist the Marketing Analysts.

 

Prepares finance contracts and invoices.

 

Assists the service team by issuing certificates of insurance and filing claims if additional backup is needed.

 

Sets up QBIL activity when accounts bind and follows up with clients regarding outstanding payments.

 

Attends carrier/broker meetings to learn more about the different markets and build relationships.

 

Participates in required continuing professional development.

 

Follows Agency procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                                  

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must hold current 4-40 or 2-20 General Lines License or obtain the 4-40 license within 60 days of employment.
