Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Summary Compiles, updates, and maintains files, submitting requests to insurance carriers, obtaining results, and reporting results to appropriate people or companies, and entering data into appropriate customer contact system by performing the following duties.
The Administrative Assistant partners with account managers to provide general administrative support, client documentation, reports, and other tools necessary to ensure timely customer service is provided to all agency customers.
Perform administrative tasks, including filing, composing letters, and processing documents.
Greets incoming clients, answers incoming calls, and responds to or directs appropriately, taking messages as necessary.
Receives, opens, and distributes mail, faxes, and all other agency correspondence daily.
Gain in-depth understanding of P&C insurance with intentions of obtaining P&C license.
Opportunity for growth into taking on customer service responsibilities. Travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in business administration, and/or two years of experience in an office environment.
Requires and individual with strong organizational skills, and the ability to be precise and accurate.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Individual must maintain strict confidentiality always.
Must have demonstrated advanced level PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience using agency management systems preferred.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff, as well and high-end clientele.
Work Schedule is 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week.
