Job Title: Assistant Controller
Reports To: CFO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary The Assistant Controller assists the Chief Financial Officer with monthly reports to Corporate, and special projects.
Manage accounting staff.
Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Month end Journal Entries.
Inter-company journal entries, reconciliations and allocations.
Assists CFO and Principals in meeting all deadlines associated with month end close. This will include financial statement preparation with various supporting schedules for AP Corporate office.
Responsible for completion of monthly internal reports for senior management.
Assist in review of financial statements
Assists with budget preparation for all entities
Oversee and Prepare Surplus Lines Quarterly/Annual tax filings
Oversee/Review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Transactions
Assists with direct bill downloads.
This position will supervise the accounting staff.

Education and/or Experience
Degree in accounting from college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
