Overview

The HR Generalist provides foundational HR support across the employee lifecycle for an assigned region. Acting as the first HR point of contact for managers and employees, the HR Generalist manages day-to-day HR needs by supporting or administering a multitude of HR programs such as workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, employee experience, and change management.

What You'll Do

  • Business Partnership: Partner with leaders across assigned business operations and the entire employee lifecycle to develop and implement plans to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence across all relevant practices.
  • HR Partnership: Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) across multiple areas to support business operations:
    • Employee Relations - act as the initial point of contact for employee relations concerns, documenting issues, conducting preliminary fact-finding, and advising managers on resolution.
    • Compensation & Benefits - support the administration of compensation and benefits programs by responding to employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, and supporting data collection and reporting for internal reviews.
    • Learning & Development - support performance and talent management processescoordinating timelines, preparing communications, tracking completion of reviews, and assisting with training delivery in collaboration.
  • Workforce Planning: Partners with business leaders across the employee lifecycle to advise leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, organizational design and effectiveness, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, employee retention and engagement, coaching and development, promotions, compensation, and more.
  • Performance & Talent Management: Partner with client groups to support talent management processes, including goal setting, annual performance reviews, annual compensation planning, and training & development plans.
  • HR Operations: Partner with the HR Operations teams to process a myriad of employee transactions within the HRIS system accurately and timely.
  • Change & Culture Champion: Act as a client advocate to bring forth feedback and sentiment from client groups regarding HR programs to Regional HR Leadership.
  • Analytics & Insights: Ensure data accuracy of organizational and employee data, use available data, reporting, and insights to drive data-informed decision making.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field; or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (HRCI, SHRM, etc.) a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant HR capacity. Experience in the insurance, brokerage, or financial services industry a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate complex data across multiple systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
