Overview

As an Employee Benefits Strategy Intern, you’ll learn about corporate processes, structures, and strategies. You’ll understand our Employee Benefits practice and the role of each department in AssuredPartners’ success. You’ll collaborate with internal and external partners, including carriers, vendors, and tech firms. You’ll gain insights into the daily operations of the Employee Benefits practice and work with various departments like marketing, communications, sales, and HR. You’ll develop valuable skills and time management strategies in a fast-paced team environment. 

 

National Internship Program:

Our program was created in 2020 to encourage and support the growth of our next generation of talent. Since then, we have provided a place for over 180 interns nationwide to find meaningful professional development experiences within the insurance industry each year. During our 10-week program, interns present new ideas and help contribute to building our culture. Join us this summer and grow with the support of a dedicated mentor, be exposed to leadership, departments, and other interns, and create lasting connections. 

What You'll Do

  • Assist with set-up, communication, execution, and follow-up of webinar trainings.
  • Maintain e-mail distribution lists, as needed.
  • Track and provide data analysis around training attendance.
  • Assist with marketing communications to both internal and external audiences.
  • Develop, edit, and maintain EB-related marketing materials alongside the Employee Benefits Marketing Coordinator.
  • Assist in the setup, distribution, and analysis of internal and external surveys pertaining to Employee Benefits including employee and client experience management.
  • Update internal websites daily with relevant information, such as events, documents, etc.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with carriers, third party vendors, and internal leadership.
  • Other tasks assigned on a project-by-project basis.
  • Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.

What You'll Need

  • Must be enrolled in post-secondary education, ideally in a degree program concentrating in Risk Management, Business, or Communications.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical.
  • Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office and Excel).
