Job Summary
As an Intern, you will gain an understanding of the Insurance Industry and the broad understanding of potential industry career paths. An intern operates as a temporary function for education purposes and will be exposed to the industry and career paths within Fred C. Church, an AssuredPartners Company. You will build valuable skills in creating and presenting business solutions, understanding brokerage operations, and developing time management strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop basic knowledge of the insurance industry and agency operations.
Understand the different processes and forces shaping the insurance industry.
Understand the organizational flow of revenue through departments.
Develop critical sales skills in opportunity identification, lead nurturing, and setting appointments.
Build prospect lists relevant to identified parameters.
Learn the functionality of lead generating tools.
Develop outbound marketing campaigns through various communication channels.
Work closely with sales teams to set new business appointments.
Utilize AssuredPartners’ Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to track leads, individual sales activities, and email marketing campaigns.
Copy data and compiles records and reports.
Observe and participate in renewal process; participate in renewal meetings, as requested.
Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
Support in developing, editing, and maintenance of marketing materials.
Assist in the setup, distribution, and analysis of internal and external reporting.
Participate in meetings with carriers, third party vendors, and internal leadership.
Other tasks assigned on a project-by-project basis.
Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.
Currently we are offering our Sales Interns a competitive hourly rate of $18-$20 an hour.
Qualifications
As a condition of this role, the candidate must not have been previously employed with AssuredPartners.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical.
Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office and Excel).
