Job Summary

The ER Admin will assist the Employee Relations department in various tasks and gain hands-on experience in HR operations, onboarding, employee relations, and other HR functions. This summer internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about HR practices and contribute to the overall success of the HR team.

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • An excellent candidate is someone who is professional, adaptable, and congenial with an inquisitive personality and strong critical thinking skills.
  • You should know how to take initiative but also know how to work in a team as a dependable member.
  • Residing in Orlando Florida; Willing to commute to our Corporate office located in Downtown Orlando.
  • You have a strong interest in a career in HR and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing HR files and records.
  • Assist with organizing and coordinating meetings as well as taking minutes during the meetings.
  • Assist with audits and ensure that employee relations practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Research and compile information on local, state, and federal labor and employment laws to support HR compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of communication materials related to employee relations.
  • Assist in handling employee inquiries, resolving basic HR issues, and maintaining employee records.
  • Aid with various HR-related projects, such as reviewing the employee handbook, and other initiatives as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a University in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of HR concepts and practices is a plus but not always required.
