As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you’ll learn about the systems and initiatives used by our marketing and communications team. You’ll learn our social media strategies, design and content creation processes, and business development systems that aim to unify our brand and elevate AssuredPartners’ visibility. You’ll gain insights into department operations, build valuable skills, and learn to manage time in a fast-paced environment.

 

National Internship Program:

Our program was created in 2020 to encourage and support growth of our next generation of talent. Since then, we have provided a place for over 180 interns nationwide to find meaningful professional development experiences within the insurance industry each year. During our 10-week program, interns present new ideas and help contribute to building our culture. Join us this summer and grow with the support of a dedicated mentor, be exposed to leadership, departments, and other interns, and create lasting connections. 

What You'll Do

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

  • Compile marketing research on best practices across various platforms including Google Business, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Handshake, company websites and other online company presences.
  • Assist with marketing communications to both internal and external audiences.
  • Develop social media strategy through content creation, posting, and auditing strategy performance.
  • Create graphic design pieces by applying marketing concepts and design applications.
  • Assist with routine website maintenance.
  • Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.

What You'll Need

  • Must be enrolled in post-secondary education, ideally in a degree program concentrating in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design.
  • Ideal candidates will be professional and congenial - with inquisitive personalities and the ability to think critically.
  • Must be driven, self-starting, and coachable while demonstrating a high level of maturity.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical. 
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
