Overview

The VP of Personal Lines sells through direct sales efforts and by leading and directing all Personal Lines sales and service operations with the collaboration of Agency Presidents and staff.

What You'll Do

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

  • Develop strategies, systems and marketing plans for selling new and existing products.
  • Works with Agency President and other personnel to enhance sales of Personal Lines insurance. Establishes sales goals and develops business plans.
  • Monitors Personal Lines sales in each office. Drives efficiencies. Standardizes processes and procedures. Promotes quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develops employee skills and programs to enhance cross-selling.
  • Provides direction and training to those involved in Personal Lines production.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel is expected to be 50% in this role.

What You'll Need

  • Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 12 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Property and Casualty License. Professional designations preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in personal lines and/or commercial lines with 1-3 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency
  • Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in supervising a team
