Overview

AssuredPartners, Inc. seeks a Project Analyst - Legal to join its growing legal department. This role will sit at AP’s corporate headquarters in Orlando, Florida and report to the Vice President & Associate General Counsel – Litigation, Claim & Employment.

Please note, while there will be some flexibility - this role will be fully on-site in our Downtown Orlando office. 

What You'll Do

  • Foster relationships with operational partners to assist in triaging claims and litigation, including identifying key information and gathering documentation to support handling
  • Innovate and adapt current legal processes into a data analytic driven environment for efficient reporting and a more stream-lined workflow
  • Support litigation efforts by performing investigative work, analyzing evidence and developing written summaries of key findings
  • Take the lead in gathering responsive documents and responding to subpoenas
  • Assist in preparation of wide array of legal documents – cease & desist letters, restrictive covenant agreements independent contractor agreements, and other general business agreements
  • Work on and help develop policies to keep pace with changing laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Broad-based commercial legal experience (whether at a law firm or an in-house legal department) and a willingness to learn about a range of legal specialty areas in the insurance industry context; litigation experience strongly preferred but comparable corporate and/or project management experience will be considered
  • Curiosity about how technology such as Smartsheets can serve an in-house legal team supporting a business in hyper-growth mode and the drive to master such technology to achieve process improvements, tell a story through the use of data, and identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Drive to develop and implement processes and procedures to solve legal challenges for a business
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, writing and organizational skills
  • A humble, customer service-oriented mindset, strong time management skills
  • Experience with (or eagerness to learn) Smartsheets to support efficiencies and organization within our business; strong MS Office suite skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
