Overview

The Surety Operations and Product Manager will drive the surety servicing model and technology utilization across the organization with an emphasis on operational efficiency and client experience. This role oversees organizational processes relative to quality standards, staffing support and role clarity, and the organization’s enterprise surety management system. They remain current on all trends within the surety market to align and forecast customer, employee, and technology needs within the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Leads the workflow design efforts throughout Project Liftoff for Tinubu and EPIC, including standard processes, configuration requirements, and templates for the Surety division
  • Works with the Product team to manage vendor relationships relative to the surety division including Surepath / Tinubu, Applied, and any additional bond software that is put into production.
  • Works closely with the Client Excellence Governance Committee on Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures for the Surety division across the organization.
  • Liaise with the Director of Agency Solutions on automation opportunities and reporting requirements relative to staffing benchmarks and margin management, quality control, key operational metrics, as well as overall agency and division efficiency.
  • Establish field-level role clarity for the surety department, including Account Coordinator, Account Manager, and Account Executive focusing on technical insurance responsibilities, as well as client responsibilities.
  • Partner with Regional Operations Leads to assess current Surety structure within the region and agencies to ensure departmental success for sales and service, including any needed shared servicing models.
  • Work with the Front Office Change Lead and Director of Training to ensure an ideal systems and talent development training program is established, with an emphasis on change management and systems training for converting agencies.
  • Collaborates with the Data Conversion and Implementation Team to assess the needs of the surety department and surety policies for converting agencies to maximize data integrity, information brought over during conversion, and identify go-live implementation needs.
  • Consistently monitor the need of additional tools and resources for the surety division focusing on increased sales, retention, employee experience, and client experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Contract and Commercial Surety as an Account Executive or Underwriter focusing on financial performance of clients, the bond issuing process, and any renewal components.
  • Product Knowledge of a Surety System Required, with Tinubu experience preferred. Additional Surety designations preferred, but not required.
  • Experience within Operations Management managing a team and owning servicing and financial metrics.
  • Occasional travel will be required as-needed.
