AssuredPartners of Michigan is seeking a Director of Personal Lines to lead the Personal Lines service team. The Director will lead and manage sales and service operations for the Personal Lines department, with a focus on growth, elevating employee and client experience, and managing efficiencies. This is a role that is poised for incredible growth as we grow our business across Michigan.

• Develop client engagement strategies, systems and marketing plans for selling new and existing products.
• Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Assists Agency in developing carrier relationships by becoming familiar with and executing strategies developed for satisfying carrier goals and objectives.
• Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business.
• Trains and directs technical support personnel including Account Representatives, Account Coordinators, or Analysts in order to meet essential duties and responsibilities
• Works with Agency President and other personnel to support sales of Personal Lines insurance. 
• Monitors Personal Lines business in each office. Drives efficiencies. Standardizes processes and procedures. Promotes quality improvement initiatives.
• Develops employee skills and programs to enhance cross-selling and retention.
• Provides direction and training to those involved in Personal Lines production.
• Participates in continuing professional development as required by state licensing requirements and Agency guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel is expected to be 50% in this role.

• Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 12 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Property and Casualty License. Professional designations preferred
• 10+ years of experience in personal lines and/or commercial lines with 1-3 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency
• Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
• Experience in supervising a team
