Our Wilkes Barre Office is growing and we are hiring for a Marketing Manager for Insurance placement. You will market new or renewal insurance business to contracted carriers. The Marketing Manager serves as the primary contact between the Agency and insurance carriers.

What You'll Do

  • Meets regularly with Producers and Account Executives regarding existing business and sales opportunities. Serves as liaison with specialty brands to write appropriate coverage.
  • Mentors or formally directs the work of more junior team members
  • Facilitates and collaborates with account and marketing team
  • Markets all lines of insurance with the goal of positively affecting revenue goals through the acquisition of new business and the retention of renewals. Accumulates marketing information and disseminates this information to Producers and Account Executives. Collects and distributes company product offering materials to sales and service personnel.
  • Assists in the analysis of lines of coverage and insurance company trends with the intent of maximizing opportunities for new business placement and customer retention. Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
  • Regularly meets with insurance carriers marketing representatives, underwriters, wholesalers and company officials to review product offerings, to discuss individual business accounts, and to review company production reports. Develops relationships with insurance company underwriters through fair negotiations, high quality submissions, and meaningful meetings and visits.
  • Consults with Producers on markets for their risks, appropriateness of coverage structure, and negotiate pricing and coverage terms with carriers. Assists with pre-underwriting information gathering, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations if needed. Negotiates price and terms and have proposals prepared, bound and delivered to producers.
  • Assigns new business to others on the marketing team. Monitors progress and results of new business negotiations on assigned accounts. Executes a quality control process for policies and quotations delivered assuring coverage, condition, rating and price accuracy.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel is expected to be 10-20% in this role.

What You'll Need

  • Five years of related Commercial Lines required.
  • A Property & Casualty Insurance license required.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of market appetite, marketing processes, and marketing strategy
  • LEadership experience required.
  • Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software and Microsoft Office products.
  • Full knowledge of insurance markets. Maintain full knowledge of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, insurance company changes, and coverage development.
