Overview

As the Corporate Benefits Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting and executing the organization's strategic vision for employee benefits while providing leadership and guidance to the benefits team. This position combines strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities to drive the success of our benefits programs. You will have the primary responsibility for the administration, compliance, and management of the leave of absence program for the company, requiring a deep understanding of federal and multi-state leave laws.

What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in all US benefit programs, including health, welfare, retirement, voluntary, and other programs across the company.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations and decision-making of the leave management operations of the company ensuring compliance with complex regulations such as FMLA, short-term disability, and ADA.
  • Collaborate with employee Relations to ensure proper evaluation of leave cases considering legal and organizational implications.
  • Strategically design and implement state leave programs to align seamlessly with company-wide short-term disability program requirements, optimizing employee benefits and legal compliance.
  • Accurately calculate short-term disability benefits according to specific classes under the disability policy, considering nuanced eligibility criteria and legal parameters.
  • Lead the development of advanced benefit reports and audits in the HRIS system, leveraging integration support and validations to enhance process efficiencies and ensure data accuracy throughout the organization.
  • Provide strategic support for benefits M&A activities and transitions, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile complex benefit accounts with payroll and vendor billing statements, maintaining accuracy and compliance in financial transactions.
  • Manage and execute additional projects as directed by senior leadership, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.

What You'll Need

  • Possess a Post-Secondary education degree or a minimum of 6 year or more of experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams for a minimum of 3 years. Comprehensive knowledge of leave of absence policies, including FMLA, short-term disability, and ADA, with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including familiarity with company policies and state leave programs. Proficiency in Human Resource systems, including experience with transitions.
  • Familiarity with internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
