Overview

The Product Manager - Applied EPIC is considered an expert in their applicable field of responsibility. Works with the VP of Operating Systems, Product Managers, Project Managers, Conversion Team, Information Technology and AssuredPartners offices providing guidance during conversions, system upgrades, workflow needs as well as daily application support. Responsible for the direction of the assigned operating system(s) working closely with Regional and Agencies partners as well as Corporate Operations in the design of any and all changes.

What You'll Do

  • Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Responsible for the assigned Operating System(s)
  • Lead the direction of assigned systems
  • Leads system upgrades including the development of test plans and coordination of testing with Regions/Agencies, IT and Product Owners
  • Guide configuration set up and changes to the agency management system
  • Provide guidance to the Regions/Offices during conversions, including recommendation of conversion type, etc.
  • Provide input to the Project Manager for upcoming conversions and determine if a full conversion or a manual conversion is more appropriate
  • Performs/leads gap analysis between AP Corporate system workflows and the “current state” workflows of a converting office partnering with the training team for the creation of any applicable job aides
  • Assist the agencies employees before, during, and after conversion to maximize data integration and integrity.
  • Assist in coordinating a post conversion optimization meeting with the agency to discover any issues or concerns.
  • Develop, Implement and lead product support as needed to Regions/Agencies/Corporate Operations including but not limited to Report configuration, agency structure, workflow setup, standardization, etc.
  • Facilitate all current/future state working sessions to assists in the development and implementation of standard system workflows.
  • Lead company user group(s) for their applicable operating systems
  • Active member of assigned operating system vendor user groups
  • Demonstrates proficient working knowledge of day to day insurance business processes/workflows. Ability to relate the business processes to system workflows.
  • Provide input for the training for all assigned operating systems.
  • Assist in the coordination all training prior to conversion “go live” with the agency.
  • Work with the Project Management team to ensure they are aware of all workflows and any changes to them as well as roll out any workflow changes into the training schedule requested by the Project Management team.
  • Work with vendors, Accounting, IT Departments, and any 3rd party systems as applicable to successfully and efficiently convert AssuredPartners Operating System data into the applicable system.
  • Ability to effectively speak in front of groups in person and via conference call/web ex and lead the flow.
  • Manage a team including but not limited to product support analysts.
  • Willing to grow in a position and be eager to be malleable with the various needs and intricacies that may come up with each specific office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  •  Knowledge building an Applied EPIC database and conversions

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Minimum of 10 years insurance retail agency experience. Proficient in day to day Insurance business and workflow processes; 4 years agency management system data conversion experience, Product Management training, Industry Project Management experience preferred with Vendor products, Training, Application and data support experience preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of 10 years Agency Management System software experience, Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software; Microsoft Visio
  • Travel may be required to branch locations for initial and ongoing training where WebEx is not an option.  Potential could be up to 40% with this position.
